Local storage
Your theme (light or dark), your reading view (guided or expert), the organizations you star, a comparison tray and any qualification answers you ask the browser to remember are kept in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are never transmitted to us.
Third-party cookies
None at present. If Google AdSense advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads, as described in the privacy policy; a consent mechanism appropriate to your jurisdiction will be introduced before any such cookie is set.
Why there is no banner
Because the site sets only a strictly necessary preference cookie and stores everything else locally, no consent banner is required or shown. That decision is documented here deliberately, together with the trigger that would change it.
