What Resource Generation costs

Dues, initiation and other published fees, each with its source and verification date, and an estimate of the first year built only from the disclosed figures.

An initiation fee is paid once. Dues recur — usually annually, sometimes monthly. Many chapter-based organizations charge chapter dues on top of national or global dues, and retreats, travel and events are almost always extra. A figure marked “reported” came from a publication, not from the organization.

Published and reported fees

CostAmountNoteProvenance
Annual dues $500 a year Standard baseline constituent membership dues are $500 a year. RG asks all members, including alumni, to contribute 5 to 10 per cent of their overall annual giving as dues, so members who give more pay more; those for whom $500 is prohibitive may select "other" and pay the percentage instead. Annual dues $60 a year Stepping Stone membership: $60 or more annually, or $5 a month, for 18 to 35 year olds whose families are in the top 10 per cent but who do not yet have direct access to that wealth — RG names undergraduate students as the typical case. Annual dues $500 a year Alumni membership for those 36 and over: the same $500 minimum and 5 to 10 per cent of overall annual giving. Verified September 2026High confidenceSource ↗

Initiation fee No joining fee is published.

Dues are framed as a share of a member's total giving (5 to 10 per cent) with a $500 baseline, rather than a flat price for services. RG states it is more than 95 per cent member-funded so that it does not compete for grants with grassroots organisations.
