Organizations for chief executives under 45
Where the age ceiling is an advantage rather than a barrier: the peer groups and networks a younger chief executive or founder can join now, in the order the records suggest for someone who qualifies on company size.
كيف أُعدَّ هذا الترتيب. Ranked by the editors from the structured records: the fit between the guide's stated reader and each organization's published criteria, the completeness and verification of its record, disclosed cost relative to what is offered, structure and footprint, and independent reporting. Commercial relationships play no part. المنهج الكامل.
Being under 45 opens one door that closes later and several that do not care about age at all. This guide is for a chief executive or founder who is under 45 and runs a company of some scale, and it is ordered by how much of the organization's value is tied to that combination. It is not a list of everything a young executive could join; the professional associations and clubs with under-40 tiers are on their own pages.

Illustration1 YPO
Chief executives who joined before their 45th birthday and lead companies that meet YPO's published employee and revenue tests.
The only major peer organization with a hard upper age limit at joining, and therefore the one to decide on first. If you meet the company tests (US$16 million in revenue for most businesses, or the employee, enterprise-value or assets alternatives), the window closes at 45, and members who pass it continue through YPO Gold rather than joining fresh. Global dues and initiation are published; chapter dues are not.
Illustration2 Hampton
Founders and CEOs of high-growth technology or tech-enabled companies who live in one of Hampton's chapter cities.
Built around founders at an earlier stage than YPO's tests admit: technology and tech-enabled companies above US$3 million in revenue, or with the funding or exit alternatives, in eighteen cities. Most members are younger founders by the nature of the audience, though Hampton publishes no age rule. Price not published.
Illustration3 Entrepreneurs' Organization
Owners, founders and majority stakeholders of companies with at least US$1 million of annual revenue.
No age limit and a US$1 million revenue floor, which makes it the natural first peer organization for a founder in their thirties whose company has not reached YPO's tests. Members who later qualify for YPO often move; some stay because the room fits.
4 Forum of Young Global Leaders
Forum of Young Global Leaders: YGL Alumni Annual Summit 2018 (44503217465) · Foundations World Economic Forum · Wikimedia Commons · CC BY 2.0
Leaders under 40 drawn from business, government, civil society, academia, media, the arts and social enterprise
Not a peer group and not something one applies to: a World Economic Forum community of leaders under 40, nominated by Forum members and partners, with a three-year programme. It belongs on this list because the age cap is absolute and the network is unlike anything else here: proximity to the Forum's convening system rather than confidential problem-solving. No fee schedule is published.
Illustration5 Aspen Global Leadership Network
Mid-career leaders who have already achieved substantial success in business, government or the non-profit sector and are looking to convert it into public impact
The Henry Crown Fellowship takes accomplished leaders roughly between 30 and 46, by nomination, for four seminars over two years plus a leadership venture. Values and service rather than business, but for a younger chief executive who wants a peer cohort selected on something other than company size, it is the most serious of the fellowships.
Illustration6 Global Shapers Community
People under 30 who have already led a project, company or organisation in their city
For readers under 30 only: the Forum's city-hub community, applied to at hub level and selected locally. Included so that the age ladder is complete (Global Shapers under 30, Young Global Leaders under 40, YPO under 45) and because the hubs in large cities are competitive.
