CEO peer groups without an upper age limit
For the chief executive who is past 45 and therefore past YPO's joining window: the peer organizations that publish no age ceiling, and the one built for people who have graduated.
YPO's age rule — members join before 45 — is the criterion most often searched for on this site, and the question behind the search is usually what to do at 46. The answer depends on whether you were a YPO member (Chief Executives Organization exists for you, by invitation) and, if not, which of the age-blind organizations fits your company. The list below is every peer-advisory organization in the database whose published criteria include no upper age limit, in the order the records suggest for a chief executive of an established company.
Организации
7Vistage
CEOs, business owners and senior executives of companies with US$5 million or more in annual revenue.
No age limit, no ownership requirement, groups of twelve to sixteen with a professional Chair, core programme framed around US$5 million in revenue. The largest option for an executive over 45; price by quotation.
Entrepreneurs' Organization
Owners, founders and majority stakeholders of companies with at least US$1 million of annual revenue.
No age limit and a US$1 million revenue floor — but an ownership requirement. For a founder or majority owner of any age it is the accessible chapter organization.
Chief Executives Organization
Senior business leaders who have graduated from YPO and the wider family of "O" organisations, joining a capped, invitation-only community.
Invitation-only, capped at 2,000, established in 1958 as the graduate organization for people who had reached YPO's age limit. Not a competitor to YPO and not something one applies to; if you were a YPO member, this is the room.
Chief Executive Network
CEOs, presidents and owners of privately held and mid-market US companies, grouped with non-competing peers in the same industry and revenue band
Industry-specific peer networks of non-competing chief executives, with published programme prices and no age rule. The choice when the conversation should be about your sector's economics.
Women Presidents Organization
Women who own and run privately held companies above WPO's revenue thresholds.
For women owners: no age limit, revenue floors of US$2 million (US$1 million for services), chapters tiered by company size.
The Alternative Board
Owners and leaders of privately held, growth-focused small and mid-sized companies.
No age or financial threshold; franchised boards with monthly billing. The lightest option for an owner of a smaller company.
MacKay CEO Forums
Canadian CEOs, business owners and senior executives, split into forums by role and company size
Canada: peer forums for chief executives with a fully published dues schedule from CAD 4,660 to CAD 18,000 by tier, and no age rule — the domestic alternative to the Vistage-owned TEC Canada.
