Family Offices in Chicago
Chicago's executive organizations are older and more institutional than the coasts': the Economic Club of Chicago, the Executives' Club and the Union League Club date from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries and still sit at the centre of the city's business life. The national peer groups are all present — YPO's Chicago chapters, EO Chicago, TIGER 21, R360 (with more than one chapter in the area), WPO — and the angel community is anchored by Hyde Park Angels, which has grown from an angel group into an investment firm. Manufacturing and family-owned businesses remain a larger share of the membership here than in technology-led cities, which shows in the popularity of owner-focused and family-business organizations.
