Front Row Dads

Fathers who own or run businesses and want to organise their working life around family rather than the reverse.

A profile page holds what the organization publishes and what named sources report: who it admits, what it costs, how it is structured, where it operates, and how it has changed. Every figure carries the date it was checked. A dash means the organization does not publish that fact.

Front Row Dads is a paid membership community for fathers who run businesses, founded in 2016 by Jon Vroman. Unlike most groups in this category it applies no financial test: the stated qualification is fatherhood plus a willingness to work on the domestic side of life alongside the commercial one. Programming is organised around six published pillars - intentional parenting, thriving marriage, vibrant health, emotional intelligence, business evolution, and wealth and legacy. There are two tiers. Core membership costs US$247 a month or US$2,497 a year and provides community access, small accountability groups called Bands, monthly deep dive calls, quarterly online summits, 30-day challenges, a digital resource library and the member directory. A VIP tier sits above it; the organization does not publish its price and requires an application plus at least three months as a Core member. VIP adds in-person retreats each spring and autumn, a private members' thread, preferred access to the organization's leadership and VIP-day admission to FRD Live, the annual in-person event in Austin, Texas, which the organization describes as drawing roughly 150 attendees.

How it works

Members join at Core level and take part in monthly deep dive calls, quarterly online summits and small Bands accountability groups, with a digital library and member directory between sessions. Core members of at least three months' standing may apply to the VIP tier, which adds two in-person retreats a year and preferred access at FRD Live in Austin.

Typical member

Members are entrepreneurial fathers. The organization's framing is "family men with businesses, not businessmen with families"; it publishes no revenue, net worth or company-size test.

Requirements are the tests the organization itself publishes — an age ceiling, a company-revenue floor, a net-worth minimum, a role. Where a figure straddles a range, the organization's own assessment decides. Local chapters can apply stricter tests than the published standard.

Independent context

Front Row Dads is the only group in this batch that gates on life stage rather than business size, which makes it far cheaper and far broader than its peers: at US$2,497 a year, Core membership costs less than a single event ticket at several of the others. The trade-off is that the peer set is defined by fatherhood, not by company scale, so a founder seeking commercially matched peers will find the range wide. The two-step structure - Core first, then an application to VIP after three months - is a sensible way to test fit, but it also means the retreats and leadership access most buyers want sit behind an unpublished price. Two things could not be verified: the VIP fee, and the member count, because the organization's About and membership pages block automated fetching. One third-party source describes the Brotherhood as closed to new members, which the live membership page does not support.
