The Twenty Two
The club describes its house as "designed for the creative and the curious"; at launch the founders said they were aiming at a younger, creative London audience rather than a traditional Mayfair set

Founding — Opened in April 2022 at 22 Grosvenor Square by hotelier Navid Mirtorabi with Jamie Reuben
The Twenty Two is a hotel, public restaurant and private members' club in a Grade II-listed Edwardian mansion at 22 Grosvenor Square, Mayfair, London. It opened in April 2022, founded by the hotelier Navid Mirtorabi with the property developer Jamie Reuben, with interiors by Natalia Miyar and 31 bedrooms and suites. The club side centres on The Living Room, reserved for members and hotel guests, which shifts into the club's evening use, alongside Café 22, private dining and event spaces; hotel guests are treated as temporary patrons of the club for the duration of their stay. A second house opened in February 2025 at 16 East 16th Street in Union Square, New York, in the landmarked former Margaret Louisa Home, with 77 rooms and suites and its own members' club. Membership is published openly on the club's application portals in six bands per city, split by age, by whether the member is joined to one city or both, and by joint membership for partners living at the same address.
How it works
Members join through an online portal, choosing a Patron, Young Patron or Joint Patron band and deciding whether the membership is local to one house or global across London and New York. Each band carries an annual subscription plus a one-off joining fee. Members use The Living Room and club spaces at their house, book bedrooms and tables, and register guests through the member portal.
Typical member
A deliberately younger membership than the older Mayfair clubs, reflected in a distinct 21-to-29 "Young Patron" band priced well below the standard rate.
Membership requirements
Requirements in detail, with history →Requirements are the tests the organization itself publishes — an age ceiling, a company-revenue floor, a net-worth minimum, a role. Where a figure straddles a range, the organization's own assessment decides. Local chapters can apply stricter tests than the published standard.

Independent context
The Twenty Two is the most transparent of the Mayfair-adjacent clubs in this batch: full rate cards for both cities sit on public application pages, including a genuine age discount for members aged 21 to 29 and a clearly priced London-plus-New-York option. That transparency also exposes how much prices have moved — the Financial Times reported an under-33 rate of £750 a year at the 2022 launch, and the current under-30 band is £1,500 with a £1,200 joining fee. It remains a hotel-led operation rather than a members' institution: hotel guests become temporary patrons, there is no workspace, no professional programming and no published proposer requirement, so the club function is social access rather than selection. Anyone comparing it with Annabel's should note it is cheaper and far more explicit about what it costs.
