Fundación: Founded in New York in 2011 by Joshua Abram, Alan Murray and James O'Reilly; the first workspace opened in May 2013. The name is pronounced "noy-ya house", from the German for new.

NeueHouse is a members' workspace and cultural venue in New York, operating from a 115,000 square foot, eight-storey building at 110 East 25th Street near Madison Square Park. The building contains open and dedicated workspace, private office studios, meeting rooms, private phone booths, a podcast recording room, an 80-seat screening room, a ground-floor gallery and a penthouse event space, alongside an in-house restaurant and bar. Membership is sold as workspace tiers, from part-time flexible access through everyday access to dedicated desks and private studios, with group memberships for firms and agencies and turnkey executive floors for teams of up to twenty-five. Cultural programming for members includes screenings, performances, lectures and artist talks. The company was founded in 2011 and expanded to Los Angeles before ceasing operations at all locations in September 2025; the brand and the New York flagship were bought by Convene Hospitality Group and reopened in January 2026. The Los Angeles locations did not reopen.

Cómo funciona

Applicants apply online for a workspace tier and are accepted, the company says, "on a rolling basis, only as spaces become available". Salon members get flexible workspace for ten days a month; Gallery members get everyday flexible access; Atelier members hold dedicated desks in the shared workspace; Studio members occupy private offices priced by configuration. All tiers include access to communal and social spaces, conference room booking and NeueHouse-produced events.

Miembro tipo

Members are drawn from film, fashion, technology, music, publishing, design and other creative businesses, ranging from individual practitioners to small and mid-sized companies taking dedicated desks or private studios.

Contexto independiente

NeueHouse is the cautionary case in this category. It was the original attempt to fuse a creative members' club with a workspace business, and the workspace half proved fatal: heavy leases and what the company itself called legacy liabilities left it near insolvency before the pandemic, and it shut all three sites overnight in September 2025, a month after co-founder Joshua Abram died. Its return four months later under Convene ownership is a narrower proposition, one building in New York rather than a network across two cities, and reference sources still describe a Los Angeles presence that no longer exists. On the positive side, it remains one of the few clubs of this type that publishes entry prices, which makes it a useful floor for the sector: US$300 a month for ten days of access is an order of magnitude below the social clubs it is usually listed beside.
