A profile page holds what the organization publishes and what named sources report: who it admits, what it costs, how it is structured, where it operates, and how it has changed. Every figure carries the date it was checked. A dash means the organization does not publish that fact.

Founding — Founded in Vancouver in 1992 per REIN's own About page.

REIN is a Canadian real estate investment education and membership business founded in Vancouver in 1992. It sells tiered access to market research, courses, events and an investor community rather than operating as a member-governed association: it is a commercial organisation, and members are described in its own copy as clients as well as members. Programming covers market research and economic analysis for Canadian regions, courses such as Real Estate Investing in Canada and joint-venture and capital-raising material, webinars, a podcast and an events calendar. Pricing is published on its membership portal: All Access at $2,395 a year or $250 a month, Associate Access at $1,200 a year and Digital Access at $500 a year. The organisation is led by chief executive Patrick Francey and states that its members have transacted more than 43,000 properties representing more than $5.4bn, and that more than 153,000 clients and members have passed through its programmes since 1992. Those are cumulative, self-reported figures.

How it works

Members buy one of three access tiers and use the online platform for research reports, market analysis and course material, plus the events calendar for in-person and virtual sessions. Higher tiers add live event access and the fuller education programme. REIN partners with a Faculty of professionals — lawyers, accountants, realtors, mortgage brokers — who provide specialist services to members.

Typical member

Members are individual Canadian real estate investors at a range of experience levels. REIN also maintains a paid "Faculty" of lawyers, accountants, realtors, mortgage brokers and other service professionals who work with members.

Requirements are the tests the organization itself publishes — an age ceiling, a company-revenue floor, a net-worth minimum, a role. Where a figure straddles a range, the organization's own assessment decides. Local chapters can apply stricter tests than the published standard.

Independent context

REIN sits on the commercial side of the line that separates an investor association from a paid education programme, and should be evaluated as the latter. It is a company selling a subscription, not a non-profit governed by its members, and its headline numbers — 153,000 clients, $5.4bn transacted, 43,000 properties — are cumulative marketing figures with no independent verification and no stated current membership. That does not make them false, but they answer a different question from "how many people are in this network now". At $2,395 a year for full access, it is priced well above the local investor associations and in the range of paid mastermind programmes. The published tiers make comparison easy, which is more than most of this category offers; what is missing is any published statement of what distinguishes the tiers, and the currency is not named on the pricing page.
