Private members' clubs

Private members' clubs in the contemporary sense (Soho House and the houses, hotel-based clubs and city clubs that followed it) sell access to rooms, restaurants and a curated membership, with admission by application and committee and, for the most sought-after, a waiting list. They are included here because executives, founders and investors use them as a working environment and because the criteria, fees and structure are as opaque as any peer group's. Fees are shown as published where the club publishes them and as reported, with date and source, where it does not.
